Every day I am reminded of how stupid I am, as I attempt to broaden my horizons and learn things like "the circle of fifths". As for Captain Crunch and Star Wars, I guess I'm more in the moribund generation that knows about William Conrad and "Gunsmoke", thanks to my dad, who loved old radio. And it galls me that so few people today have a clue about William Conrad or Gunsmoke! Miss Kitty is probably the name of some influencer, today. Or maybe the title of a song by Mazzy Star or Taylor Swift. I'm too stupid to tell. Our ancestors only needed to know how to make arrowheads and follow bison poop to find living, breathing food. So our current overload of useless information is understandable.
